Fiber laser cutting machine will produce large amounts of heat when cutting sheet metal, under normal circumstances, the heat generated by cutting will be spread along the slit into the processed sheet metal to get the full cooling. In the thick plate cutting, it may cause edge burning for heat accumulation. The solution to solve edge burning of fiber laser cutting machine are as follows.

In carbon steel cutting with oxygen as the auxiliary gas, the key to solve the problem is how to restrain the heat of the oxidation reaction. Oxygen can be used during perforation, delay switch for the methods of auxiliary air or nitrogen to cut. 

In stainless steel cutting with nitrogen, no edged are burned in the cutting process. However, due to the high temperature of the material inside the hole, the phenomenon of slag hanging on the inside will be more frequent.The effective solution is to increase the pressure of the auxiliary gas.
